It's RUDE to be first...

In a survey that rated the rudest drivers in the United States, the City of Miami ranks first in rudeness. No fear...the City of "Angels" is not far behind at number 4 on the list, behind Phoenix and New York.

Somehow I doubt that any city would brag about being at the top of this list.

If you can't have it...make it...

It seems as if the folks at the Beijing Weather Modification Office have figured out the age old question of: how do you make rain? The office reportedly created a way to make rain. If this is true, this could dramatically change the way that science is used in our daily lives.

But to be honest, I have to be wary of the report. The US National Academy of Sciences, in 2003, stated that the breakthrough was weak. At the same time, it is in the best interest of the Beijing Weather Modification Office to report such a breakthrough. Unlike a good majority of government agencies that have a vague name, the Weather Modification Office has a fairly specific name. If they can't modify the weather, what else will they do?
